if contact is initiated already and the firefight is going on it doesn't matter. In an attack once the element of surprise is lost you might as well use voice commands. IMO it works for the U.S. Army and it works with the group of players I play with here at Ft. Drum.

Like FO1 said, you keep radio chatter and verbal comms to a minimum, but when the first round is fired often times no matter how trained you are chaos sets in. Verbal communications and shouting commands is a highly effective way of cutting down the enemy quickly before they have a chance to zero in and get a clear shot off on you.

I would like to go, but don't own an AEG so I have no weapon. Anyone willing to lend me a weapon and some magazines for this?

Good news. I got the whole saturday off so no worrying about getting back in time. Now I'm seeing "Heavy wind & rain" uh oh :) I got a poncho. Do I wear the RACK vest over or under the poncho?

I'd wear it under to keep your gear dry. This isn't real war where its life or death and you need to be hi-speed with your reloads.

I could lend you the Echo1 416, so you can try it out.

But could someone from Brooklyn pick it up for him? Unless you can come down to Brooklyn.

yeah sorry fellas, i've been updating the roster on the airsoft simulations forums.

tonto.. you're on the roster.

RE: WEATHER -

IF the wind is as bad as they say it is i will postpone the game, but i cannot make that call until the morning of the game.

i will drive out there at 5am *(i'll probably be up all night preppping anyway) and make an announcement via the emails that you use for your paypal payments and this forum *(forum.filforce.org) also the NJAA forum www.airsoftnj.com/forums and the airsim forums www.airsoftsimulations.com/forum and the main airsim site.

please check the updates frequently tomorrow morning as again our policy is if it's tolerable, game on! if it's too much and unsafe *(since people can slip on the rocks there in ET) we will postpone this event. to maybe next week depending if cookie is up for rescheduling.

again just keep looking on these announcement boards for further updates.

thanks!

To be fair to everyone involved, and talking it over with Ed and Rob I have no other alternative but to POSTPONE this game till next saturday: March 20th 2010

If you so choose to receive a full refund please pm me and allow 4-5 days for it to process since it was already taken out of paypal to pay the field.

if you want to play on the next scheduled date, you will receive a free echo1usa hat as a token of gratitude. Those players who have made arrangements to pay on the field due to no paypal accounts will not receive this token. only players who have already pre-paid.

Registration will re-open at 25.00 per player starting today. via paypal to registration@airsoftsimulations.com

same rules apply as per the first post.

on a side note: as not to make another post I have talked to Pat at Godfather airsoft and have arranged to hold CQB games there tomorrow. And i have arranged that we have an adjusted ruleset to maximize fun and safety. and a private group so we play without anyone under 16.

if you would like to attend please let me know, so i can list you down. I cannot transfer your payment from cartel wars to godfathers as it is a seperate field and ownership, and the paperwork tracking will be too difficult to organize.

Please see the following ruleset for tomorrow:

Full face protection manditory - Yes.. paintball masks... i don't want anyone to lose teeth.
No mesh masks allowed.

Semi Auto GBB pistols AEP's, shotguns, AEG's only up to 320 fps

Full auto allowed if lower than 275 fps

Grenades that expel bb's are allowed - all grenades must be thrown underhand and not directly at players.

203 grenades are NOT allowed at this moment until i can test out the safety aspects of being sprayed with a 203 at a close distance.

since it is a lower power fps and a CQB environment, we will not have a minimum safety distance. please aim low.

Safety kills are highly encouraged by using "BANG BANG" or a touch of the opposing player
if in the case of both players calling BANG BANG at the same time both players are eliminated from the field of play.

Please let me know if you are interested in coming and you will have to pay at godfathers.

Schedule and payments:

25.00 for field fee

Schedule:

11pm - whenever *(they close at 10pm)

sorry again for the postponement, but having that high of wind and that much rain makes it unsafe for the players.

thanks for understanding. any questions or concerns about tomorrows game at godfathers please also pm me.

RJ
